Caution should be exercised when exploring the blue holes, as they can become dangerous when the tides are strong. The safest way for most to enjoy the blue holes is from the surface-they can be up to 200 feet across, and appear like apparitions in the landscape.
The waters of the Bahamas have 100-foot visibility and feature large corals and marine life that is slightly more abundant than elsewhere in the Caribbean Sea.
Andros is a particularly fine dive destination. Off the coast of the Abacos and Eleuthera, there are not only shipwrecks but also the rarest of undersea ruins-train wrecks.
Bahamas offers the most beautiful and colorful reefs and marine life from the world. Many divers return year after year to dive this vivid and lively reefs.

It is important to emphasize that wild dolphins roam all the waters of the Bahamas, Caribbean Sea, and you can see dolphins from land or on boating excursions. There are also companies offering dive sites in these areas. However, there are only two islands offering land based or sanctuaries for dolphins. Those are Freeport on Grand Bahama Island and Nassau on Paradise Island.
The most frequented is an educational encounter which includes performances by the mammals jumping and brushing up against the spectators who are confined to seating in a specific area. Some offer scuba diving with dolphins after certain training and there is also an assistant trainer program at the Freeport facility that gives you an opportunity to work with the dolphins on a daily basis.
